Pylon TR is an insecticide and a miticide and controls pest infestations in commercial greenhouses. It kills plant-damaging insects like thrips and can be used on both ornamental plants and fruiting vegetables. It not only works right away but continues to work for up to 21 days. Pylon TR may also be combined with knockdown insecticides for quick kills and long-lasting results. Whether it's gnats or mites, Pylon TR controls unwanted infestations.
How Pylon TR Insecticide Works
Pylon TR stands for total release and is a fogger in an easy-to-use canister. It's a cost-effective alternative to expensive fogging equipment and doesn't require a professional to do the job. It contains the same active ingredient found in Pylon liquid insecticide but in a lower concentration. The ingredient targets the insects at the cellular level, preventing them from turning food into energy. After contact, the pests die in just a few days.
Where to Use Pylon TR Insecticide
Pylon TR Total Release insecticide and miticide can only be used in commercial greenhouses only. It's not labeled for use in other areas. It can be used on most ornamental plants in the greenhouse, including bedding plants and cut flowers. Use it to protect fruiting vegetable crops, evergreens and flowering plants. It's also useful for keeping insects and mites off ground covers, foliage plants and nonbearing fruit and nut trees, as well as ornamental trees and shrubs.
Pylon TR is specially formulated to kill various mite species and caterpillars. It will also suppress thrips. Once applied in the greenhouse, Pylon TR will kill two-spotted spider mites, broad mites, citrus mites and rust mites. It does not, however, control mites during the egg stage. It will work on the adults and nymphs. It's effective at controlling beet armyworms, cabbage loopers and soybean loopers and will suppress western flower thrips and chili thrips.
Benefits of Pylon TR Insecticide
Though Pylon TR is only available in a 2-ounce canister, it's enough to treat 3,000 square feet in a commercial greenhouse. It doesn't take hours for the fog to cover the area. In fact, it only takes about two minutes for the can to empty. There's no need to mix any chemicals or to buy any equipment, so it saves money and time. Some benefits and features include:
- Controls gnats and mites and suppresses thrips
- Can be used on bedding plants, cut flowers, hanging baskets and more
- Labeled for use in commercial greenhouses only
- Provides a cost-effective pest control solution for growers
