Advion® Ant Gel Bait- 4 tubes
Not all insecticides get rid of ants the way Advion Ant Gel does. It contains a sweet formulation for luring the ants and infecting them with a powerful active ingredient. This ingredient starts to work on contact but affects the ants slowly, causing death in a few days. Thanks to its slow mode of action, the bait gets transferred to the entire colony, eliminating it at the source.
How Advion Ant Bait Gel Works
Advion Ant Bait Gel contains the same active ingredient as Advion Ant Bait Arena: indoxacarb. Whereas Arena comes in granular form, this product is a gel and can be used both indoors and outdoors. The active ingredient disrupts the ants' nerve function, preventing them from feeding. The ants are soon paralyzed and then die but not before transferring the bait to other ants in the colony. This mode of action is called the transfer effect, and it's an effective way to get rid of massive ant infestations.
Where to Use Advion Gel for Ants
This bait works great in cabinets, along counters and near perimeters where ants form lines and invade interior spaces. By placing a drop every few feet, the ants will stop to eat and transport some of the gel back to the colony. It's ideal for use in cracks and crevices, wall voids and near the nests. Placing the gel in a bait station is one way to keep it fresh and to prevent rain and other contaminants from decreasing its effectiveness.
Note: Avoid applying the gel on an ant line. The ants may avoid it since it will disrupt their pheromone trail.
Advion Ant Gel is labeled for use on all major ant species, including invasive Rasberry crazy ants. It prevents carpenter ants from damaging wood fascia and furniture and puts an end to fire ant mounds outdoors. Some common ant species to use the gel on include:
- Pharaoh ants
- Big-headed ants
- Harvester ants
- Odorous house ants
- Pavement ants
Why Use Advion Ant Bait Gel?
Use Advion Ant Gel because it works effectively on most every ant species. It uses the transfer effect to penetrate the colony and to kill every member. Though it doesn't kill them right away, it only takes a few days to move through the colony and infect every ant. Once it reaches the queen ant, the entire colony will fall. Other benefits for using the gel include:
- Lures ants with its sweet formulation
- Applies easily from the tube
- Works both indoors and outdoors
- Can be combined with granules and other gels
- Kills the entire colony in a matter of days
Kill Invasive Ants With Advion Bait Gel
For complete ant control at home and other areas, use Advion gel for ants. The sweet formulation attracts ants of all types and infects the entire colony through the transfer effect. Within days, it moves through the colony and kills every ant, including the young and the queen. Whether it's carpenter ants outside or house ants indoors, nothing takes out an infestation quite like Advion Ant Bait Gel.
